So we're coming to the end of the first decade I (more or less) remember. Exciting! And the end of the first year that I've really been an adult--ie, paying for my own life. I'm not super-impressed with this whole adult thing. But not completely put off by it. I have intentionally put off actually accumulating things and responsibilities--I've kept my material ties as loose as possible. Except of course for gadgetry--phone, camera, computer hard drive (internal & external). I've bought minimal amounts of new clothing, or other "stuff." I'm hoping most of my money in the coming year will be spent on experiences--starting with at least one Broadway show before I go.
I'm hoping in a year I'll have a more fully-formed "path," as in having applied to graduate school and...well, I guess that's the big thing. My new idea is Information Sciences at UNC (isn't it always at UNC??), as I said in my previous post. But it'd be great to like, apply instead of just thinking about these ideas. I'm ready for something new, as it seems everyone is. I do find it funny how thorough the consensus is that this year kind of sucked, and how ready everyone is for 2010. So, in unison--BRING IT ON!!
