New York Without Work

I've been adjusting to being back in the City and I still don't have to go into work. I go in for my second TB on Friday and we have a ViSTA team meeting. I finally, after joining the city rec centers went today and ran at rec center near me. It was, as I expected, not particularly nice but good enough.

I went yesterday to look at the apartment near my friend Erica and really liked it. It is a bit farther, and not right on the A, but I'll be taking the 1 to work, and it's only a 10 minute walk to the A. It is a much bigger room, I'll have a closet & a washer & dryer which will be wonderful. It is also on the 3rd floor of a walk-up instead of the 5th, which is the difference between something that's pretty routine and something that makes you really think twice before leaving your apartment...so I'm really looking forward to that. Oh, the really important part--the new apartment is $130 less a month than my current apartment, which on my budget is HUGE. And they don't have birds. That's all I got for now--I went dancing last weekend until 4am, which was awesome (and we left when the club showed no signs of closing any time soon...), but I think I'm still sort of recovering. And trying to convince myself to get out and do some fun New York stuff while I have the time, even though it's quite chilly outside (and supposed to be worse soon :-/).

Hope everyone's year is getting off to a tremendous start--
Shan
